B-REVEALED Event By L'Oreal

Yeahhh finally I can share my experience in L’Oreal Indonesia after the super hectic day in the last week huahua *full of pressure (First day in Ramadhan, Internship project, and Oracle Test Certification). As I explained in the previous post about the REVEAL Game By L’Oreal (http://zidniezou.blogspot.com/2012/07/reveal-by-loreal.html), I want to tell about the continuity of my story in REVEAL Game haha

Fortunately, I become the Top 20 Player of the REVEAL Game with scored 7099 exactly in the 18th rank haha. As promises from the committee that the Top 20 will be invited to the L’Oreal Indonesia Office in Graha Surya Internusa – Kuningan at 5th-6th July. But obviously, there were just 16 invited participants in the B-Revealed Event. The participant just come from 4 universities, they are UI, Swiss German University, President University, and Binus University.


 In the first day, the invited participant got a photo session (individually and by group). We act as the REVEAL Game Ambassador for L’Oreal Indonesia for the next REVEAL Campaign. Ya, we posed as if we’re a professional model haha this is the first photo session in my life. The 16 participant divided to the 4 group to compete each other in next day B-Revealed Event.

And the 2nd day, we got a workshop from Top L’Oreal Indonesia Executive to knew the better understanding about the real business and work life, especially in L’Oreal Indonesia. There were 4 workshop session: Marketing – Finance&Controlling – Supply Chain – Commercial (Key Account Manager) by the director. After the workshop end for each session, the group will be given a case study and try to solve it. Ya, we got the theory and then do the practice in the end.


 The firs session in Marketing Workshop was presented by Mrs. Reni, the Group Product Manager of GARNIER. Maybe the first impression when you hear GARNIER is Pasha Ungu. Ya! This session mainly tell about the successes of the GARNIER Men (Facial Wash) that reach the 1st Market Share in Indonesia for the Facial Wash for Men Category. The key of this success is marketing. Marketing is not just about promotion. We know the Marketing Mix: Product, Place, Price, and Promotion. So, it really involved to create the market, create the product, create the promotion strategy (branding awareness, spoke person, etc), and many more. Actually, GARNIER Men just got the market share about 0,01% in early 2011 and then by improving the marketing strategy, it can stand in the 1st place market share by 25% in early 2012. So, imagine that within one year fierce marketing it can works! The case study for this session is to create the product according to the given data (It’s like the Quick L’Oreal Brandstorm)

The 2nd session in Finance and Controlling was presented by Mr. Adrian, the Manager Controller of Professional Product. Finance is different with controlling. Controlling is about reviewing the report and cross-check it so a good understanding in finance is a must. But, the controller also must have a good understanding about the business process in the company to analyze that the report is make sense according to the company business process. The controller must coordinate with the General Manager, Finance, and Marketing. The analysis really affect to the decision making of the company. The session end by presenting our group discussion in financial statement analysis (contribution margin and profit margin)


The supply chain workshop in 3rd session was presented by Mr. Bayu Soedjarwo that have been being the supply chain director in many big company. Ya, I can’t tell about this session because this is my specialty as the Industrial Engineering Student so I don’t write any notes for this session haha and the last session, a very interesting session is about the commercial (Key Account Manager). The job of commercial is like Sales but they are not sales hoho they define the distributor, negotiate with them and make an appointment, give the discount, until determine the shelves to place the product hahaha the case study for this session was really fun because we have to act like KAM and influence the partner (distributor) to sell our product. Yayaya my eyes getting closed now hmmmm I think it is enough
 
Ya, the concusion is the B-Revealed Event was really an unforgettable moment where I can meet many new friend that really asyeeek, a great experience, a free-charge Workshop by Top L’Oreal Executive, cool shirt, body shop product, and many more
