This is one of the fun
and educating game: REVEAL By L’Oreal (http://www.reveal-thegame.com/). I started playing this game for the
cycle 4 because the first time this game available in Indonesia starts in cycle
4. This is an international game so you can fight with the other player from
around the world by comparing the score/ point you got. The international
winner will get an interesting reward. It can be an iPad or a very unforgettable
trip to Paris and meet the International Board of Director of L’Oreal. The case
of this game is PRODUCT LAUNCHING.
We should plan the
product planning (Research and Development) until it ready to launch (Sales). These
are the steps to make product launch planning: Research and Innovation –
Business/ Sales Development – Operations – Finance and Controlling – Marketing.
Each step is dependent to the other step, so all steps have many influence to
another steps. We can’t do it individually without considering to the other
step because the product launching is like the integration systems of its step.
So, how it’s work? It’s
like playing The Sims, but in the Global Business actually in L’Oreal New Product
Launching. Every your action and decision will be scored. So, play it carefully
and passionately. It’s not just fun, but also very educating. It will discover
your truly expertise (it is Research and Innovation? or Business/ Sales Development?
or Operations? or Finance and Controlling? or Marketing?), where your weakness
and strength are so it will reveal your professional profile. You have a chance
to get invited to meet the L’Oreal Board of Directors: A chance to be recruited!
This is my score at
playing the REVEAL Game include the product launching performance, my working
style, and my professional focus. Research and Innovation is a very hard thing
in L’Oreal because it involves the research in Molecule because mostly L’Oreal
product is a cosmetic product (pharmacy). I’m good in finance and marketing
although my major is Industrial Engineering that really emphasize at Operations
and Logistics. Beside that, I really good in decision making haha FYI I’m very
independent and capable.
Ya actually the real
business life is very hard for me because in lectures, I just got the theory. Many
fresh under graduated student always have a problem in their first work
experience. I realize it, especially because the real business really involve
MONEY and MENTAL!
